Martin Habalewsky

Marty Habalewsky brings breakthrough communications to his clients. He constantly finds new ways to reach buyers, influencers and the media.


Educated as a journalist, he honed his communications skills in early executive positions at Detroit's two largest public relations firms. Habalewsky also has been a vice president at two Detroit marketing firms and one automotive public relations firm. He has successfully managed large and small marketing budgets with measurable results.


He is an expert at direct-to-buyer and direct-to-consumer news release development and distribution to media via online channels – from single markets to many regions of the world.


An early adopter of online marketing, video content, financial and product sites, company newsrooms, search engine optimization, mobile communications and social media, Habalewsky is always mastering new media. He has created award-winning graphics projects, special events, press events and traditional media relations programs for leading accounting, automotive, technology, real estate, retail, food service, higher education and government clients.


His client work has captured national and regional awards from The Automotive Public Relations Council, The Public Relations Society of America and The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).


Habalewsky's peers at the IABC, Detroit Chapter, honored him with the first "Communicator of the Year" award. His work for notable nonprofit organizations won him considerable recognition, including the Key to the City of Detroit, for his volunteer public relations, marketing and fundraising for the Accounting Aid Society of Detroit. Along the way Habalewsky has raised money for several charitable, cultural and academic organizations, such as United Way, The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit and Ann Arbor, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the March of Dimes, the University of Detroit Mercy, the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Detroit and the Blue Water Folk Society.


He has spoken to several international professional associations as well as to more than six Michigan university audiences on a wide range of communications subjects.


Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America, Habalewsky also is an active member of the IABC and SAE International. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Detroit Mercy and has completed post-graduate courses in business from The University of Michigan, Wayne State University and Walsh College.


Habalewsky is a member of the Social Media Club of Detroit and the Individual Communicators Network.
