Maureen McDonald

Veteran freelance writer Maureen McDonald writes for regularly for the Detroit News, Ward's Dealer Business and Crain's Detroit Business. She ghost wrote a history book, "Sirens of Chrome, the Enduring Allure of Auto Show," for Millennium Books; co-wrote Royal Oak for Arcadia Publishing and contributed to MyTown Miracles, a celebration of Detroit's leaders.

 

As a wordsmith she has written blogs for entrepreneurs, articles and newsletters for major automotive and medical clients and consulted on communications strategy. She has taught journalism and communications classes at Wayne State University, the University of Michigan – Dearborn and the University of Detroit Mercy. She serves on the board of the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame.

 

Maureen is an avid bicyclist who completed a 10-day bicycle tour of Ireland's south coast a few years back. She lives in Southfield and continues to play an active role in Detroit's betterment. Her blogs are found on maureenmcdonald.wordpress.com.
